La Mexicana

Have you ever tried a fresh tortilla before? When it comes to tacos and Mexican food in general, it's all about the tortilla. We make our own the way it has been done in Mexico for millennia - with fresh nixtamalized corn masa dough - the way tortilla should taste. If you buy yours off the shelves, most likely you are yet to try it. We want to share with you how we eat tacos back in Mexico. Those of you who have been to Mexico can recognise the flavour of the tacos as well as the vibe and feeling of Mexican taqueria when you come in. If you haven't visited Mexico - trust us; this is as close as it gets!

Wool Revolution Studio

Wool Revolution Studio is a creative textile studio right here in Grey Lynn, led by internationally recognised fashion designer Liz Mitchell MNZM. Guided by a simple but powerful vision — Farm, Fleece, Fashion, Future — we're on a mission to bring New Zealand's extraordinarily strong wool back into everyday life. Liz has been a Campaign for Wool New Zealand Ambassador since 2018, championing the value of our strong wool both locally and on the world stage. We run hands-on workshops in wet felting, needle felting and weaving for all skill levels, support artists, designers, educators and students, and provide access to specialist textile knowledge and machinery you won't find anywhere else. We develop wool-based products and prototypes, and passionately advocate for natural fibres as a real, beautiful alternative to planet-harming synthetics. Whether you want to try a workshop, collaborate on a project, or simply discover what wool can do — come find us. Explore what's on at woolrevolutionstudio.org.
