Darryl Ojala
I have lived in the inner city boundary for over 50 years and witnessed many changes, both positive and
negative.
For the past 25 years my business has been based in Freemans Bay, Grey Lynn and latterly Pt Chevalier.
My passion is for the support of our local businesses – how we can ensure all the necessary requisites
are in place to promote and sustain the growth of these. Our communities rely on accessibility and
availability which in turn contributes to vibrant energetic suburbs in which to live, eat and play.
The local board plays an important role with our connection to local government – we can ensure any
concerns or new concepts are presented to those who can influence change.
Grey Lynn shopping centre is my high street – I am committed to protecting the integrity of the strip
shopping, supporting those local business operators and all the benefits hey return to our community.
I urge all businesses to join our association and be part of the growth of business within the boundary
we cover.
